Call to Artists:

The CanyonArts Festival is looking for a featured artist for 2011

This artist's work will be featured on the 2011 commemorative festival poster and in all promotional media.  10,000 festival programs, available at the festival and distributed throughout the Willamette Valley. Also, to be used in ads in local newspapers, on the internet, and other promotional materials.

• Artwork becomes property of  Santiam Hearts to Arts and artist releases all rights to use.
• Artwork must depict this year's theme, "Follow your heart to the arts", and can be any media as long as it may be converted for publication. Please don’t sweat too much over the theme. Just keep in mind that this is for an arts festival poster and our Santiam Hearts to Arts mission is to inspire arts opportunities and draw people to them.
• Artist agrees to donate artwork for cost of materials, and byline credit in all use, otherwise releasing all rights to use.
• Artist agrees to attend sponsorship dinner and several media events, interview with reporters for publicity, and interact with spectators in the gallery on the day of the festival.
• Artist agrees to headshot photo for possible publication with artwork.
• Final decision will be made through juried selection.
• Process:  Artist must submit proposals with sketches to CanyonArts Featured Artist.

• From proposals, artists may be selected for interview. 
• Deadline for proposals: December 4, 2010
• Once final selection is made, the artist will be on a rigorous timeline to the artwork's completion.

We’ll need a lot of volunteers on the day of the festival. If you would like to help with only an hour or two, we would be happy to have you.
