The Road Ahead:

Pony-Up for the Arts - Giddiap It’s time to pony-up for the arts. This is our signature fundraiser where we create and sell felt head candy cane ponies for sale at local bazaars. Come see us at Mari Linn Elementary in Lyons on November 19th. and in Stayton on December 3rd. at Stayton Middle School.

 
Black History Event: This informative event will take place on February 25th. in a location to be announce in Mill City or Gates. Prominent speakers will address the audience while Santiam Canyon Community Chorus entertains with historic spirituals. Come and enjoy the family fun.

Spring Awakening: As the winter fades away, you'll want to attend "Spring Awakening" a music and dance performance that will open the festival season on April 28th

CanyonArts Festival: This is by far our biggest and busiest project. Now in it’s third year, coming up May 19th 2012, this festival draws several thousand people each year to enjoy the art gallery, craft bazaar, live entertainment, literary events, kid zone, and street fair.

Mock Chalk Walk:  How do you do a pavement drawing event in soggy Oregon. We’re using 4X4 ft. sheets of plywood on the floor of the gym. Gather up your teams of up to four, and join us for this event for prizes and fun.

Fish Fence - a swimming mural: Every student at Gates Elementary School, along with other community members, will paint a cedar fish to be mounted out front on the parking lot fence.  Each child will have free reign to demonstrate his or her creativity to the maximum.  We look forward to the completion of this project within the school year and the legacy of a marvelous display.

School Assemblies: Our crew is constantly dreaming up new ideas, and this year we’ll focus on bringing entertainment and education to our schools. If you have ideas or resources, please let us know, by e-mailing contact@heartstoarts.org

Mill City 4th. of July: We’ll be joining the city in the production of the annual 4th. of July celebration. You can expect to see our spin art bikes and perhaps the kid zone to add to an already spectacular Mill City sponsored event!

Cruise in 50s Sock Hop & Art Show: Get out your poodle skirts and leather jackets for a late summer Motorcycle Cruise in and 50s Sock Hop with 50s and motorcycle related art and fashion on display (including leather jackets, velvet paintings etc.). In addition, we're working on school assemblies, senior events, and kid's activities.
