Objectives:
Unite a group of people focused on development and expansion of the arts in the Santiam canyon for the benefit of the general citizenry, area businesses, and the local school system.
Assume a leadership role of encouraging, establishing, and promoting cultural arts opportunities.
Make the preservation and perpetuation of the arts and local culture a priority for area residents of all ages.
Advance the pursuit of arts related activity through creativity, innovation and cooperation.
Identify and close the gap between arts essentials and available resources through volunteerism, fundraising, and the acquisition and use of federal, state, local government, and private funds.
Work collaboratively with existing organizations such as the Santiam Historical Society, The Santiam Performing Arts Restoration Committee (S.P.A.R.C.), local schools, and others to establish programs to fulfill our corporate mission.
Create an environment of success for local creative talents including but not limited to those in fields of visual art, music, literature, creative movement, and electronic media.
Accomplish these goals by researching successful nonprofit strategies in other areas, and fostering communication with representatives from a wide variety of demographical population groups to learn from their experience.
