Renate has a Master’s Degree in English from California State University. Within an extensive variety of teaching venues, Renate has taught many classes ranging from college English to preschool drama. She was a member of Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators, and an advocate of reading through her work with First Book National, an organization whose mission it is to get books to kids. Job experience includes working as a cable splicer for the phone company and playing as Skipper the Clown in her own children’s entertainment business. Renate lives life as one big adventure and is always anxious to discover what wondrous opportunity will present itself next.
